I’m feeling sick today, so here is a few nauseating news from an equally diseased world:

Después de cada ataque de un miembro de la religión que no debe ser nombrada, el mismo ritual ocurre, el juego de la apología: culpa a cualquier cosa excepto el propio asesino. O, como mínimo, deberías reducir su importancia.

Eso únicamente ocurre con tal religión o con movimientos que están considerados como oprimidos, discriminados o “marginalizados” de algún modo. Es ciertamente curioso describir a alguien con el poder para asesinar cientos de personas, y asustar a un superpoder para que se rinda cultural, política y militarmente, como “sin poder” u “oprimido” pero no soy progre, así que quizás no lo entiendo.

After each attack from the religion that shall not be named, the same ritual is played, the game of apologetics: blame everything except the murderer. At the very least, you should downplay its importance.

That only happens with that religion or movements that are considered to be oppressed, discriminated or otherwise marginalized. It is certainly curious to describe someone who has the power to murder hundreds of people, and scare a superpower into cultural, political, and military submission, as “powerless” but I’m not a leftist, so perhaps I don’t understand it.

This will be the first in a series of posts about the words, expressions, and language commonly used by so-called “Social Justice” advocates, especially their degenerated version that is so common in today’s media. My main point is that such languages destroy communication and the ability to understand reality, and it’s a comeback to the worst kind of intellectual obscurantism.

Each article will be divided into five parts: (a) The origins and etymology of the word or expression in its SocJus manifestation. (b) Non-SocJus (if any) uses of the word. (C) Associations: This is a thesaurus, so here I will write those words, meanings, synonyms, or expressions that usually go with it (d) Why the word is used and why it’s so useful or powerful. And (e) Possible antidotes to that SocJus terminology.

This first post will be about one of the jewels of Social Justice jargon: Problematic.

If your reaction to murderous intent  or actual murder is affected bewilderment, cosmopolitan goodwill, sentimental grandstanding, or praying for universal love, you have failed at some very basic things that all animals understand. Fight back or flight, but don’t do this:

Edit 02/02/2017: I have changed the original title, which was a play on words using Jonathan Blow’s name, followed by a very unflattering and wordy description. I now believe that was a bit unfair and I think Blow is way more reasonable than what a few tweets may imply, and he isn’t even the focus of this piece. Still, I think the rest of the article is still relevant, so I haven’t changed anything else.

“A Muslim convert who protested outside Parliament with a sign saying ‘I am Muslim, do you trust me enough for a hug?’ is facing jail for threatening to bomb an MP’s house.

Craig Wallace used the sign as Stop The War protesters came to Westminster for the vote on military action in Syria last week.

It stated: ‘I am Muslim, I am labelled a terrorist, I trust you, do you trust me enough for a hug?’

But the 23-year-old, of Willesden Green, north London, is now facing a possible prison sentence after he threatened Tory MP Charlotte Leslie online following the vote.

Wallace, who calls himself Muhammad Mujahid Islam online, wrote on Facebook: ‘I’m going to smash her windows then drop a bomb on her house while she’s tucked up in bed. You dirty f****** pig-s******* s***.’

On December 3, the day after MPs voted to authorise the airstrikes, he wrote: ‘I’m going to find her and show her what it’s like to murder innocents. You dirty pig-f****** w****.’

He also described shadow foreign secretary Hilary Benn as a ‘war criminal’ and a ‘terrorist’ the day after the Commons vote to bomb Syria.

His defence lawyer Abu Sayeed said Wallace had posted the messages after he had been out protesting against the Syrian bombing vote for ‘two or three days and had very little sleep and had not taken his medication.’…”

Now that’s what I call an explosive personality. I’m not sure saying he is off his meds is a good defence, though.
