Ten reasons to monitor and control Islam.

(And there are more)

1.Western countries are more permissive towards Islam than many Islamic countries.

You’ll probably find more burka-wearing women and anti-semitic preachers in London than in Algiers. Why? Because we allow it. Islamic countries know that Islam is a powerful thing, dangerous even, so they keep a watchful eye on it. The “Arab Spring” “Islamic Winter” has changed some things, but the standard tactic was to allow only their preferred government-sanctioned Islam, and if it got TOO dangerous or cocky, they suppressed its worse elements. It’s simply too dangerous to let them roam free.

In the Islamic world, Islam is not an issue of freedom of belief, it’s one of national security. No country allows ANY kind of Islam to preach whatever and whenever they want. That would give a free pass to some very dangerous subversive elements.

Western elites, however, still don’t understand Islam is an extremely powerful worldview, the nuclear bomb of religions. They classify it among all the other crazy cults they think the superstitious and unwashed masses enjoy. They are like those ancient Roman magistrates Gibbon talked about:

The policy of the emperors and the senate, as far as it concerned religion, was happily seconded by the reflections of the enlightened, and by the habits of the superstitious part of their subjects. The various modes of worship, which prevailed in the Roman world, were all considered by the people, as equally true; by the philosopher, as equally false; and by the magistrate, as equally useful. And thus toleration produced not only mutual indulgence, but even religious concord.

The Decline And Fall Of The Roman Empire (1776) Volumen 1, Book 2

Unfortunately, that only applies to paganism and similar tolerant religions. When a supremacist and monotheistic, world-conquering cult appears, tolerance is suicide.

2. There is no reciprocity between Islam and the traditional western religions.

In many Islamic countries, Christianity is basically banned and, worse, actively persecuted. It’s not just that you can’t preach in the middle of the street (that would be a serious national security threat) it’s that some governments are trying to root out ANY competing worldview, even though calling a few Christians that still remain there a competition is quite a stretch.

Angry muslim.jpgIt seems reasonable that, if we have to allow Saudi-funded hate preachers, at least there should be reciprocity, and they should allow our Christian, Jewish, and Buddhist preachers. Note that I did not forget “hate” when talking about our own, that was a conscious decision because our preachers don’t preach hate. And that’s why they are so dangerous to the Islamic worldview, because it tells Muslims there is another path.

3. We have banned less dangerous stuff.

In some countries, Scientology and Dianetics are banned or not allowed to enjoy religious status even though Scientologists don’t go around beheading people and neither does their philosophy tell them they should conquer the world or kill infidels.

I do not deny that Scientology is quite dangerous, especially to your wallet, but it’s not an existential threat to any society. Therefore, if Germany doesn’t allow Scientology, a religion that causes relatively minor problems (it won’t ignite a World War, that’s for sure,) why is Islam allowed to roam free? Many western cities have no-go zones, ghettos where supremacist thought rules and hate-preachers pontificate about the glories of gay-killing. And we allow that.

Let’s ignore for a moment the religious status of Islam. Imagine that Islam was just a secular, political belief like any other. Would you allow it to grow in your country? Would you allow a group with these percentages of people approving suicide bombing, honor killings, and something they call Sharia Law, which is basically the destruction of the Western legal system? Seriously, why would you allow that to grow unchecked?

4. Islam hasn’t changed, we made it change.

Why are Tunisia, Algeria, or Egypt such beautiful countries, perfect places for tourism (at least when terrorists are not killing people)? Because we bombed them. Ok, not literally sometimes, but the threat was there.

Not long ago the North of Africa was known as the barbary coast, a haven for pirates and jihadist that were doing their ISIS-larping before ISIS even existed. Why do you think the US. Marines anthem has the line “To the shores of Tripoli”? Because Islamic pirates are the reason the US Marines even exist.

According to Robert Davis, between 1 and 1.25 million Europeans were captured by Barbary pirates and sold as slaves between the 16th and 19th centuries.

In March 1786, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to London to negotiate with Tripoli’s envoy, ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman (or Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). When they enquired “concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury”, the ambassador replied:

“It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy’s ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once.”

They were religiously-approved pirates that believed the Mediterranea Sea was their oyster and their God allowed them to plunder it. They also had the backing of one of the most powerful States in the world: The Ottoman Empire.

Spanish language has a curious idiom: “No hay moros en la costa” which could be translated as “The coast is clear of moors.” That’s a reference to that time when Moors were constantly harassing Spain’s coast, kidnapping and plundering everything that wasn’t bolted to the ground.

Why did that stop? Because the West won. After centuries of battles, the West became technologically and military superior, and the Barbary pirates were crushed, and the States that supported them realized it was a bad idea to piss off the West. Then, after centuries of almost conquering the West, the Ottoman Empire collapsed and was reformed by a secular leader who tried to remove (or, at least, weaken) Islam from Turk society.

No, it was not because there was some sort of religious reformation, they simply lost. Now there are many groups that, sensing the West is weak, are trying to go back to that golden era of piracy, Islamism, hatred, and general sociopathy.

The belief that it’s somehow our fault is an example of West ethnocentrism and idiotic lack of memory. Islam has been doing that for centuries, they stopped for a hundred years, but that’s it.

5. It’s almost impossible to tell the difference between an extremist and a moderate.

Study the last example of Islam-inspired terrorist attacks and you will see something curious: many of the terrorists were Western-educated and, also, Western-looking youth. Sure, before they went berserk many started changing, becoming Arabized in their dress and grooming habits, but that was just the tip of the iceberg, the sign of something that had been growing inside them for many years.

If Islamic extremism were just an issue of misunderstanding secondary sources, or of being too literal in the interpretation of certain books, or perhaps just sectarianism, the problem would be easy to solve. But it isn’t. The books Islamic supremacists read are the same that Islamic moderates (i.e. People that don’t want to kill you) read. Many of the mosques that law-abiding Muslims visit are the same ones that extremists visit. There is no difference in their doctrinal sources; the difference is one of desires and goals: While most of them ignore or rationalize away the call to global war that Islam commands, Islamists don’t.

Therefore, the West can’t just ban “problematic” Islamist books because Jihad is a self-recreating belief. It’s hidden in the DNA of the Quran, and there is no way to stamp it out of it. It can be ignored, it can be wounded, but it’s there, and sooner or later someone will read it and tell their fellow Muslims that God promised them the world and all its riches.

6.Islam behaves like a dangerous sect.

Leaving Islam will, at best, ostracize you from your family. At worst, it will get you killed.

Reprisals against apostates, members that try to leave a group or those who speak out is a universal sign of a dangerous sect. Therefore, why should we allow a religion that preaches apostates should be killed?

7. No, it’s not what ISIS wants.

There are some idiots that will tell you that attacking Islam is just what ISIS wants. Of course, they always say that when someone tries to do SOMETHING about the Islamic problem. Everything is always what ISIS and extremists want so.. we should do nothing about it, just write #PrayFor[Insert name of City] and ask ourselves why is the world so full of hate.

First of all, so what if ISIS wants something? That doesn’t mean it’s not useful to us or, who knows, that ISIS tacticians are full of shit or deluded. Why would they want Islam to be attacked/banned/whatever anyway? They want a Global Caliphate, they murder people who can’t recite the Quran, they are killing anybody who stands in the way of Islam. In fact, they are probably laughing because they can’t possibly believe we are so weak-willed and stupid that we still apologize for them every time they attack. From their point of view, that’s actually hilarious. It would be like jews apologizing for the whole German nation and German ultra-nationalists even after it’s obvious the Nazis just want to kill them. #NotAllNazis, which is technically true (most nazis where normal people,) but’s it’s irrelevant and, also, a dangerous incapacitating belief.

8.Nothing of much value would be lost.

I’m sorry if that sounds harsh, but it’s the truth. Banning dangerous Islamists would not change a single iota of Western culture. Banning hate-preachers calling for the extermination of Jews, gays, and polytheist will not make the West a worse place. And, by the way, those who are calling for those things are just reading from the Quran and the hadith. They are not making that stuff up.

After all those terrorist attacks, please, tell me how the West would be a worse place if Islam had not been allowed the enter our countries without any impediment. Ah, yes, we would not have people being run over by trucks, or executed for drawing cartoons, or raped because they are infidel whores, etc. Yes, such a dreadful place to live, isn’t it?

9.The racist extreme right flourishes not from reaction but from appeasement.

Some people will try to make you believe this: if you do something about Islam, you are helping the racist, extreme right.

Do you know who is helping racists? Appeasers. All the people that apologize for Islam and refuse to say A is A. If the Left hadn’t embraced Islam, this wouldn’t be a problem. It’s only an ideological dividing line because they banished common sense from their brains and refuse to do something about it.

After being lied for a long time, people wake up and are angry, so they sometimes will join extreme and dangerous groups. This would not have happened if the threat of Islamism would have been accepted as something self-evident.

If you are a progressive afraid of the extreme right, I have bad news for you. You helped create it.

10.Your grandchildren will hate you if you do nothing.

A civilization is a centuries-long game. Unfortunately, the West is trapped in a dangerous egotistic phase that blinds people from some obvious truths. The most obvious one is that we are not the first nor the last generation. Actually, we may be the last one, but that’s because we forgot that we are not the center of existence but the result of millennia of struggles.

Although we beat the Nazis, banned slavery, and gave equality to women, the Retarded Left claims we are the enemies we defeated. And because we hate those things, we are terrified of being called bigots. And because we don’t want to be called bigots, we will allow our children to live in a world we would not want for ourselves. Your daughters will not know many of the freedoms we take for granted or, worse, they will KNOW about them and they will KNOW they don’t have them because YOU did nothing to stop their destruction.

The West is in decline. We are not young anymore and that’s a demographic fact, and demography may not be destiny, but close enough. No reason to get hysterical over that fact, but our policies should be built based on that fact. However, there’s a difference between gracious decline and outright suicide, between being a wise old man or a demented geezer. We are choosing the later.

  1. “Because islamic pirates are the reason the US Marines even exist.”

Too few people realize just how long Islam has been at war with the US. A lot of people like to talk glowingly about Jefferson’s Koran as though he had some sort of admiration for it; Jefferson was the first president forced to confront and address that Islam posed an existential threat to the freedom and livelihood of the peoples of the US, and the Koran was there to prove it to folks.

    Here, have some data points:
For perspective, it would be like if my old college town had been put to the sword.

    1. Yes, there is a strong collective amnesia. And it’s not like the Ottoman Empire ended 300 hundred years ago or something. There are people alive who probably still remember the slave market in Mecca.

  2. On a related note, I kind of wondered if they would’ve still given you a free Smoothie at TSC on Talk Like a Pirate Day if you’d said “Allahu Akbarrrr!”
