Inspired by the movie The Fortune (1966,) this episode was the first time the clueless “lawyer” Lionel Hutz appeared (and Dr. Nick “Hello, everybody!” Riviera and Blue-Haired-Lawyer, the competent lawyer) It also has one of my favorites The Simpsons’ quotes, which is also an excellent example of characterization using a single sentence; not very subtle, but that’s the whole point:
